Since today happens to be the official Very Hungry Caterpillar Day, we’d like to put a spotlight on one of our favorite brands to work with: The World of Eric Carle.
Since 2010, we’ve had the privilege of working with first Chorion and now the Joester Loria Group along with the the WEC creative director, Motoko in developing a wide variety of designs to help extend The World of Eric Carle brand and The Very Hungry Caterpillar as more than just an iconic author and book series. We have had the task of extracting, modifying and illustrating new art to complement the brand and create theme art collections and style guides which expand the core art to include a variety of composed designs and badges, packaging icon systems and infant-focused theme art collections. Through the hard work and commitment from licensees like Jaxxwear and Kids Preferred, the brand has become a fashion-forward and multifaceted pre-school brand with proven product growth internationally in many hard and soft goods categories as well as online apps. The licensees have done an incredible job of using and interpreting our designs over the years, with more and more products hitting the market each quarter.
We’re so happy to collaborate with such an exciting and artful client. On this first day of spring, The Very Hungry Caterpillar Day, many of us in the northeast are seeing quite a bit of snow out our windows. Here at StyleWorks Creative, the sight of this little caterpillar popping up on the market in places like Gymboree and wayfair.com makes us feel a little bit warmer inside! Below are a few of our favorite items currently being sold online and in stores.
Stay tuned to see new art from our in-progress theme collections: A brightly colored “Happy” design group, a “Wild Child” animal-based group, a new and refreshed “Alphabet” set, as well as an updated classic “Dots” collection.
